IIT Students to Receive a ‘Surprise’ from OnePlus
Smartphone brand OnePlus has announced a ‘surprise’ for IIT Madras students pursuing BTech courses. OnePlus has claimed to fund full financial scholarships for several IIT Madras students, including new and existing students. This initiative is part of the brand’s “10-year milestone”.
IIT Madras evaluates students according to the ‘merit-cum-means’ eligibility criteria, which leads the scholarship evaluation process. As far as criteria are concerned, BTech students with parental income of Rs.1 lakh. 5 lakh per annum. The study grant is covered for a maximum of four (4) years.
“IIT Madras is delighted to partner with OnePlus for the ‘Never Settle’ scholarship, which reinforces our commitment to empower future science and technology innovators. I thank the OnePlus management team for joining us in our efforts to enable a brighter educational environment for India’s youth.” said Professor Mahesh Panchagnula, Dean (Alumni and Corporate Relations), IIT Madras.
Meanwhile, OnePlus also has some good news for consumers. OnePlus announced the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 update earlier, and now more smartphones are getting the update. OnePlus released the update for OnePlus 11, OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 11R and OnePlus 10T.
The new Android 14-based OxygenOS update offers Aquamorphic Design, Pantanal Service for interactive Fluid Cloud and more. The update also includes cross-device support, which allows users to quickly check the connection status of their devices. The update also includes Aquamorphic-themed ringtones, a new File Dock that makes it easier to transfer content between apps and devices, and features like Content Extraction for recognizing and extracting text and images.
